Knights of Allentown was created in the Fall of 2013 by Ken Knight and Bonnie Allen. Ken and Bonnie met doing Shakespeare in the Park during the Summer of 2012. After working on several shows together, an idea of a theater company for anyone and everyone was born. They decided Asheville needed a theater company where those who had been inspired by the stage, regardless of experience, could still have an outlet to makes their dreams and passions a reality. Therefore, KoA was born.
Bonnie Allen serves as the Executive Producer. Bonnie is a native of the Asheville area and locally trained in her craft. She has an extensive background in the performing arts. However, her talents are not just limited to the spot light - she is also a very skilled theater technician as well, doing everything from Stage Managing to Sound Design.
Ken Knight serves as the Artistic Director. Ken is a transplant to the Asheville area. His skills are not only isolated to the stage. Like Bonnie, he has been known to do some remarkable work behind the scenes as a skilled director. Ken's experience also extends beyond the theater. He is also a signed talent with The Screen Artist Talent Agency here in Asheville.
